For years, FeST has been showcasing Southern Arizona Artists who use scrap, salvaged and repurposed metal as major elements in their work. This year we are including artists who work in other salvaged media - tile, glass, wood and textiles. We have gathered an amazing group of local artists. FeST will highlight Tucson’s vibrant community of artists who are working to help protect the environment and enrich our lives. Fire Station Public Art
The City of Surprise, in conjunction with the Surprise Arts & Cultural Advisory Commission (SACAC) is seeking qualified artists to propose artwork that will be placed at the new Fire Station 304 facility being constructed along 163rd Avenue between Happy Valley Road and San Ysidro Road (see included architectural renderings). This feature will serve as a welcoming space for individuals and families to sit, relax, and interact with the artwork.
This 18,000 square foot permanent station will be designed with multiple bays to accommodate an Engine, Ladder Company, Ambulance and a Battalion Chief. The artwork is intended to pay tribute to the critical operations that occur within this facility and the men and women that provide these services.
